Charlie Austin to replace outgoing Aston Villa Striker, Christian Benteke

According to the Sunday Mirror, Aston Villa will use the proceeds from the imminent sale of Christian Benteke to Liverpool to fund a move for Charlie Austin.

The QPR striker has also been linked with Chelsea, Newcastle, West Ham and Crystal Palace this summer.

The summer rumor mill is heating up quickly with news that Charlie Austin may leave Championship-bound QPR for Aston Villa should Christian Benteke leave over the summer.
The logic certainly makes sense. If, as reported frequently, Christian Benteke leaves Aston Villa this summer for Liverpool or some other destination higher up the table then the Villains will certainly need a new forward. QPR need money and have a proven Premier League goal-scorer in Charlie Austin. If Villa can sell Benteke for £30million and buy Austin for the quoted price of £15million then that would look like some pretty solid business. It's all speculation at this point but none of it seems to be unreasonable.
